Built for how merchants actually configure personalization

Personalized Gifts gives Shopify stores control over sides, fonts, media, placement, pricing, and where each rule appears — without a rigid one-size template.

01

Front and back sides

Turn personalization on for the front, the back, or both. Each side can be configured independently so a shirt can take text on the front and an image on the back — or any combination you need.

  • Enable or disable each side
  • Different options per side (text, image, or both)
  • Separate pricing per side and content type
02

Fonts merchants control

Add the fonts your brand uses. Merchants upload sample previews and set the font names shoppers can choose from — so engraving-style script, clean sans, or monogram looks stay on-brand.

  • Multiple font choices per rule
  • Optional sample images for each font
  • Character limits for text fields
03

Text and image personalization

Let shoppers type a message, upload a photo or logo, or offer both. You decide what’s allowed on each side so the storefront only shows the options that fit the product.

04

Placement, size, and rotation

Shoppers can drag the design into place, pinch or slide to scale, and rotate with a handle. Min and max size limits keep layouts production-safe.

  • Drag to position
  • Pinch-to-scale on mobile + size slider
  • Rotate handle for fine control
05

Personalize areas for small plates

For bracelets, charms, and tags, draw a placement zone on the product mockup. Shoppers stay inside that plate or panel instead of floating over the whole photo.

06

Automatic personalization fees

Set a charge for text and/or image on each side. Fee products are created and managed for checkout so the extra cost is added when someone personalizes — without cluttering your catalog.

07

Assign to products and collections

Build personalization rules and attach them to specific products or whole Shopify collections. Activate or pause a rule anytime from the admin studio.

08

Order-ready previews

Personalized details and preview images travel with the order so your team can fulfill accurately — including front/back text, images, fonts, and size.
